CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

​Gerry's Emergency Food Pantry 603-330-3468
​Shopper: Select items from our shelves and distribute them to families in need. Friendly personality needed as well the ability to follow established policies & procedures. Flexible schedules available. Full training provided.
Stocker: Stock the shelves of the Food Pantry before we open for services. Needed for Monday mornings 9am - 12n OR Friday mornings 8am - 12n. Must be able to do some moderate lifting. Full training provided.
Donation Transporters/Helpers: Pick up donations at local stores and sometimes at food drives in our Cargo Van. Drivers must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Moderate lifting required. Weekday mornings.

​Emergency Financial Assistance Office 603-335-0011
​Answer phones, take information and evaluate needs of people requesting financial assistance. Monday and Wednesday mornings 9-12.

Community Clothing Shop 603-335-0011
Customer Service: Mondays and/or Wednesday mornings 9am -12n OR
afternoons 12n - 3pm; 2nd & 4th Saturdays 9am-12pm. Provide assistance to shoppers, bag merchandise for customers at the front counter, screen free shoppers for eligibility, and maintain the shop racks & displays. Opportunity to learn to operate the cash register if desired (but not required). Outgoing, friendly personality needed. Full training provided.
Donation Sorter:
Mondays and/or Wednesday mornings 9am -12n OR
afternoons 12n - 3pm; 2nd & 4th Saturdays 9am-12pm. Receive and sort donations, hang clothing, price merchandise, stock the shop racks, and light cleaning. Must be organized. No experience needed - Full training provided.

​Board of Directors 603-335-0011
​Board Member: Help guide the agency, assist with fundraisers, and vote on organizational matters. Must be able to commit to quarterly meetings on Tuesday evenings. ​Must live or work in Rochester/Farmington/Somersworth area, be a current or retired business professional, and be well-connected in the community. Previous Board experience desirable, but not required. ​

Community Service Requirements:
If you have community service hours to fulfill, we may have opportunities for you. If a high school student and under age 18, you must have a parent or guardian willing to volunteer with you - our volunteers are required to be 18 or over to volunteer on their own.
