Community Clothing Shop Eligibility Guidelines
There are no geographic restrictions to shop at the Community Clothing Shop.
Our Thrift Shop is open to the public and offers clothing, shoes, & accessories for
adults & children, as well as household goods, toys, books, games, movies, and
Our low prices (most items are $1.00 or less!) make this an affordable shopping
destination for most people... and all proceeds support our emergency assistance
If you are in financial crisis and in need of FREE shopping, it's easy to qualify...
We utilize a simple "validator" system to determine eligibility for free shopping.
Provide the following two items to qualify:
A Picture ID
A Referral Letter from any agency or community professional familiar with your
The Referral Letter must:
Be an original, signed, & dated (within 30 days) letter on business letterhead
Identify your name and indicate that you are in need of free merchandise
We accept referral letters from state & local welfare agencies, schools,
medical providers, clergy, housing agencies, and many other social service programs.
We are one of only a few local programs which provides free clothing and household goods and we are happy to help any household in need. If you have extenuating circumstances (such as a fire or disaster victim, etc), and need extra help, please ask to speak to the Director to be considered for additional support.
